Navigating Life

When I was young
My curious mind pursued the answers to life's questions.

I found my own answers to some questions; to some I settled for partial answers; and to some questions I settled on no answer and tried to move on.

But, somehow, this "accidental tourist" pushing upstream, seems to have bailed some essential ideas in an attempt to keep his floundering craft afloat.

I don't think that many would argue with the statement that "living" in this information technology age has become increasing complex. We are immersed in a gooey mix of multi-media that serves up an endless menu of choices - questions and answers; that go on forever.

Is there something about the nature of humans that causes us to be drawn toward the brightness of the technological flame? - in spite of the sacrifice of harmony that subtly occurs - the closer we get - to that seductive fire?

Darwinian
I wonder what Darwin would have to say. Would he be enthralled or disturbed by the present course of the human species?

Regrettably - in my efforts to navigate my life and its myriad challenges to my body, mind and spirit - I'm afraid I have discarded many of life's answers that, at one time, I held essential.

The Purpose
My purpose in this "blog" (What is a blog? - and is this a blog?) is to use this technology as a personal resource for everyday "real life" matters and ... to help me find my way - to bring me back to a path of harmony. In this medium I will attempt to gather truth, goodness and beauty with the goal of forging a new ship's compass.
